I'm currently involved in 2 projects:
Coarse graining using the CRW methods
How does a polymer dissolve into its own solvent?
Short CV:
- 2002-2006: Bachelor Degree in Material Chemistry at the University of Bologna (Italy).
Thesis: “Bubbles collapse”: molecular dynamic simulation of the collapse of two nearby nanobubbles
- 2006-2008: Master Degree in Photochemistry and Material Chemistry at the University of Bologna (Italy).
Thesis: “Theoretical study of molecular motors at mesoscopic level”: dissipative particle dynamics investigation of some propulsion mechanisms at the nanoscale.
- Since April 2009: PhD student at the Center of Smart Interfaces of the TU Darmstadt in the group of Computational Physical Chemistry (Prof. Nico van der Vegt)
Main Project: “Conditional Reversible Work method for molecular Coarse-Graining”: Development of a new systematic approach to molecular coarse graining in order to obtain transferable interaction potential.
- June 9 – July 7. 2012: Visiting scientist at the Interfacial Physics Group of the Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburg, USA)
