Mathematische Modellierung und Analysis

The group Mathematical Modeling and Analysis (MMA), headed by Prof. Dr. Dieter Bothe, represents an interdisciplinary group within the Center of Smart Interfaces. The scope of research covers the fields numerical mathematics and computational engineering as well as computational analysis of complex fluid behavior (see for a description). Currently, two Professors (Dieter Bothe and Jürgen Saal) and altogether more than a dozen PhD students and post-docs from different disciplines are affiliated to the group. The variety of expertise covers a broad field in computational and mathematical fluid dynamics as MMA teams mathematicians, physicists, chemists, and mechanical engineers working together on various projects (see for a list of personnel).

Members of the Research Group for Mathematical Modeling and Analysis: Chen Ma, Christoph Albert, Xingyuan Chen, Tomislav Maric, Kathrin Kissling, Dominik Weirich, Stefan Fleckenstein, André Fischer, Matthias Köhne, Jürgen Saal, Christian Focke, Abdulaziz Ali, Holger Marschall, Kerstin Schmitt, Dieter Bothe (left to right).
